This week I'd like to tell you about a photo workshop that I attended this past fall. I made the trip to Ontario to attend Chris Marquardt's Toronto Urban Photography Workshop http://chrismarquardt.com/. Chris is a media producer and accomplished photographer from Germany. While there I caught up with Chris (I met him for the first time last year at a similar workshop he put on also in Toronto). While there I also spent time with a Toronto photographer and a good friend of Chis whose specialty is "urban decay" photography. I'm talking about Sean Galbraith http://www.seangalbraith.com/ who I also met for the first time last year. While in Toronto I had the opportunity to photograph everything from urban landscapes, people, street photography, urban decay, and everything in between. On the last day of my visit Sean took Chris, myself and Chris' girlfriend Monika out to Hamilton where we had the opportunity to shoot Ontario's "second nicest waterfall" next to Niagara Falls. It was beautiful! Not to mention a fair bit closer than Niagara Falls.
All in all workshop was a great experience and a great time. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Toronto has a lot to offer photographically and culturally. I came back with new creative ideas for my portraits which as a photographer is my greatest passion. It was a worthwhile investment in both time and money not to mention some great memories I won't soon forget!
I'll leave you with a handfull of my favourite images from Toronto. Be sure to come back next Sunday for another blog post and spend a few minutes with me.
Thanks for visiting and we'll see you next week!
